Full description
Following pick-up from your hotel or Vaitape Pier around 9:00 AM, meet a marine biologist working for one of the biggest coral nurseries existing in French Polynesia. Here, your guide introduces you to the incredible biodiversity of the area, which includes tropical fish, invertebrates and the living coral itself.

Next up, get on your snorkeling gear and slip into the water to get up close with the abundant underwater life, following your guide's directions on how to interact with the nursery. In a shared group limited to 12 travelers, learn about the significance of coral nurseries, discover local biodiversity and get educated on the tools and measures humans can use to help sustain the longevity of the nurseries.

Then it's time to take a boat out to Bora Bora's barrier zone and stop at a natural coral nursery. For 45 minutes, snorkel and observe a local biodiversity concerning fish and invertebrates and to understand why coral nurseries exist.
