Full description
Travel from Panama City to Gatun Dam, a 1.5-hour trek away, for a full day of kayaking on the Chagres River. To get there, you will drive across the Panama Canal through the Gatun Locks. At the locks, you may have to wait for ships to pass, and while you're waiting, will learn more about the history of the area.

Upon arriving at your launch spot, head out on a paddling expedition with your kayak, making your way through dense, tropical forest, all the way to the Caribbean Ocean. It is here where Spanish conquistadores built Fort San Lorenzo. Take in the beauty of the waking jungle around you before enjoying the trip back.
