What people are saying about Our Lady of the Rocks
This was a really enjoyable way to experience Kotor. The boat was a 5 minute walk from our cruise port and they were very friendly to us when we checked in. We went on a speed boat for about 3 hours. The boat went very fast and we were bumping on the front of the boat with loud music, it was fun! Our tour guide, Eno, was superb! He was informative, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He gave us all water and made sure everyone was safe and happy on the boat. We first went to these amazing blue caves where we got to swim for about 30 minutes. (We heard later that some people booking a similar tour through the cruise ship were not able to swim). After this we stopped at a cave where world war 2 submarines were hidden (this was a 5 minute stop only, which was a good amount of time since it wasn’t too much to see), and then stopped for about 20-30 minutes at the lady of the rocks which is a neat olden church. Loved this trip! Eno was absolutely incredible!!!
Of all the tours we took along the Dalmatian coast, from Venice to Athens, Sasha was the most pleasant, informative, well-prepared and knowledgeable guide. The tour was well-organized and well-timed, comfortable & clean. Kotor is beautiful indeed, and so the Island of the Virgin of the Rock; but, what made this tour truly exceptional was the depth of our guide's knowledge, and his availability to answer any and all questions we had, from history to culture, from the development of language to the legends and traditions: it was truly a pleasure to converse with such a bright, well-learned, agreeable and patient young man. In one word, Sasha is a fantastic tour guide, and his love and enthusiasm for his country was so palpable that we now want to come back to Kotor and explore it further.
This was the highlight of my European cruise. I love swimming and to swim in the blue cave was an experience I will never forget. The tour was informative relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am not from USA as it says below but from Melbourne, Australia. The only suggestion for improvement would be find out each guests swimming ability, make sure they swim with a buddy and perhaps have some sort of identification on them to keep track of them. We had no problem and our guide was vigilant in watching everyone but as a Physical Education Teacher I believe that safety in water should not have any compromises.
I can’t even begin to rate this Tour Group. I would give them 12/15 stars for how they handled our situation. My daughter sprained her ankle on the cruise ship. We get to the port, I call and they worked hard to work with our problem. The owner actually picked her up on his motorcycle to accommodate her injury.. what tour company would have done that?? The boat ride was also great, Eno was great In helping my daughter on the trip. These owners/operators care about their customers.. I wouldn’t use use any other group. Trust me you will not regret it. Try them.
No guidance at Lady of the Rock site. There is a fee to get it, crowds, and wait time. Boat ride is very rough and we were stuck in the front in pouring rain. Those in back had cover. Raincoats were provided. Submarine pens were interesting.
