This tour is ideal for newer or easy-going bicyclists, or those traveling with friends, family members and children, who want to learn about Ottawa’s downtown and beyond.

Starting in downtown Ottawa near Parliament Hill, the first stop is the War Memorial. Next, a leisurely ride on the Rideau Canal Pathway will give you a beautiful view of Ottawa’s downtown and popular Byward Market neighborhood. You will visit Rideau Hall and Rideau Falls before crossing the bridge to visit the beautiful province of Quebec. Cycling back through Voyageurs and Ottawa River pathways (or Sir John A. MacDonald Parkway) you will experience Ottawa’s major attractions, including the Parliament Hill, the National Art Gallery and Museum of History. The Rideau Locks and Bytown Museum will be the last attractions on this short and fun tour.

• This leisurely tour is about 14 kilometers (7-8.5 miles) long, and uses beautiful and safe bicycle paths
• Electric bikes are available for an extra fee if needed, but please note that the minimum age for electric bikes is 16 years old in Ottawa
• Both adult and child bikes are available for this tour
• Children 5 and under have the option to travel using either a child trailer, a trail-a-bike or a children's bike
• For bike fitting and tour safety review purposes, you must arrive at the meeting point 15-20 minutes earlier than the tour starting time (late arrival will result in losing your tour spot)
• It is recommended that you bring sun screen, sun glasses, cash, ID card, emergency contact information and health insurance information
