Top ten things to do in Orlando

Orlando is the ultimate playground for kids and anyone who is a kid at heart. Wish upon a star at the Magic Kingdom, then head to the heart-pumping rides at a water park. To top it all off, travel to the stars at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.

Walt Disney World Resort

This mothership of entertainment landed in Florida in 1971 and has been luring the masses ever since. There are four theme parks, including the Magic Kingdom, and two water parks.

Magic Kingdom

It's the world's most visited theme park, welcoming over 19 million visitors a year to its six individual "lands." Liberty Square reflects small-town Colonial America in 1776.

Epcot

Spaceship Earth, the iconic symbol of the park, is a virtual time machine that whisks visitors on a journey of human communication, spanning millennia in just 15 minutes.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's one of the world's largest animal theme parks. The Kilimanjaro Safari takes visitors in a vehicle through the open spaces, where elephants, antelope and others roam freely.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

The park features eight themed sections of Tinsletown, complete with a Hollywood Blvd. "The Great Movie Ride" at the Chinese Theater honors classic films, like the Wizard of Oz.

Islands of Adventure

This is the place to explore the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" and "Hogsmeade." Discover the magic of Hogwarts and get a thrill from other wizarding moments.

Wet 'n Wild

Take it easy on the Lazy River, or experience a rush while plummeting six stories down a vertical slide. The park certainly lives up to its name with hair-raising rides.

Aquatica

The Dolphin Plunge at Sea World sends you barreling through a tube in the underwater world of Commerson's dolphins. These sprightly creatures will whiz right along with you, too.

Discovery Cove

The park offers the ultimate experience to swim with dolphins in a tranquil lagoon. Swimmers can also get up-close to frisky, freshwater otters and explore marine life in a reef.

Kennedy Space Center

What a place to learn about the US space program! A replica of the external tank and two rocket boosters towers 184 feet over the entrance to the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibition.

What people are saying about Orlando

The displays and information was well presented and excellent

We enjoyed our time to the Kennedy Space Center. The launch tour and related displays were excellent. The only negative to the experience was the cranky security guard that checked our bags at admission, he went out of his way to be rude and surly. Perhaps he was not accustomed to the Florida sunshine, as his badge said he was from Oregon. This was a trip to remember the great moments in the space program. It was well worth it to experience the Kennedy Space Center

The place was nice and great customer service

We paid for an hour tour online. However we were unaware that we had to make an appointment prior to attending. So when we got their they no longer had spots available. My wife an I were disappointed dude to paying for the full hr. So the lady that works there got is on for the 30 min tour so we were able to experience part of the Everglades but still a bummer.

We had a really enjoyable and informative day.

Our trip to the space center was one of the best trips we've had. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the launch sites, learning about the first trips into space, the Apollo programme, the space shuttle and all the latest developments. Our guide was very knowledgeable and both he and our driver organised the day perfectly. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.

Great trip, well worth the time. Amazing guide Kenzo!

KSC is a great spot to dive into United States culture. It's the place that serves no other purpose than benefit of the whole mankind. No other place like that in the world, closest to the Moon you can get, at the moment :)

Fun but I think we are spoiled by Disney, which this isn’t.

The fact that the Space Center filled with impossible scientific feats will not allow mobile device tickets or for that matter printed e-tickets (which requires standing on a very long line) is ludicrous!
