Full description
Discover the treasures of Dalmatia on a 6-hour excursion from Dubrovnik. Depart from Dubrovnik towards the town of Ston, famous for its 5-kilometer ancient town walls dating back to the 15th century. The town is also renowned for its fresh oysters and mussels, which you may taste in one of the many local restaurants. Then, visit the old saltpans in Ston where salt is still collected in a traditional way.

Continue your journey to the arboretum in Trsteno, home to the 15th-century summer residence of the patrician family Gucetić-Gozze. Take a stroll through the impressive grounds and marvel at its beautiful garden with Renaissance layout. Enjoy fantastic views of the Elaphite Islands from the cliff-edge pavilion, which is also the filming location of the King's Landing garden in the HBO TV show Game of Thrones. Take a walk towards Neptune's fountain and marvel at the subtropical vegetation of magnolia, black bamboo, laurel, eucalyptus, palm, camphor trees, and many other exotic plant species. Last, be amazed by the two giant 500-year old plane trees which are among the largest of their kind in Europe.

The last stop on the tour takes you to the village of Orašac, where you'll gain access to a traditional family house. Your guide will demonstrate and explain how olive oil is made in a traditional way using an old stone mill. Then indulge in an olive oil tasting before heading back to Dubrovnik.
