We wanted a segway excursion that gave us the quality of our limited time here and this did not fail to deliver. Reading about other segway service providers where there was no communications between booking and actual date, this was concerning. Comparing, this was more expensive but reliability and delivery was essential and therefore worth it. We segwayed around with no problem after a quick recap on how to use them, we stopped for the brief historic talks and moved at a good pace. The instructor always kept an eye out. It was a shame at first that we could not communicate via headsets, however this made the trip more enjoyable so was later preferred. We had enough time later to seaway across the old streets which was fun. It was amazing that we could also segway on the roads, where drivers were very friendly. thank you
Just a little glitch at the beginning...there were 6 of us...until we understood that the booking companies were all different (Get Your Guide, Viator, etc) and apparently all sub contracted to the same organization in Marseille. It all worked out, but our tour was not in French, as arranged. We agreed to take the tour in English, as the other 4 people did not speak French. But, Get Your Guide should take care with this, as if we were not bilingual, it could have been uncomfortable. As we were able to take the tour in English, all went well for everyone. The guide was helpful and well-informed and we had a very fulfilling day.
This E-Bike tour was a great mix of sightseeing and historical perspectives of a most interesting ancient town. Our guide was great, very insightful and able to provide just the right mix of riding and stopping to observe the areas visited. There is no way the same amount of distance and inaccessible areas could be covered in a vehicle tour or by walking (not enough time).
Our guide LEO was most knowledgeable, very passionate about the region, and provided the right amount of freedom to experience maximum enjoyment of the tour. Leo, a native to Marseille, described each site in such a way that we gained far more insight than any tour we have taken in the past 12 years.
The tour had too many churches and was about two hours too long. It was quite tiring, particularly in the summer heat, though Cassis is definitely worth seeing. Although the tour was sold on the promise of food tasting, there was only one tasting of biscuits, which seemed a bit inadequate.
