The Devil in Notre Dame's details

This Gothic masterpiece took almost 200 years to build, only to be trashed by Huguenots, Revolutionaries, and World War II. Restoration efforts have triumphantly returned every last detail of the cathedral to its former magnificence. Here's what to look for!

Gargoyles

Gargoyles

The expressive stone gargoyles along the cathedral's facade are perhaps the most famous in the world. Just don't expect them to talk and fly like in The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Rose window

Rose window

At Notre Dame's south facade, the stained-glass Rose Window illustrates the story of the New Testament through an astonishing 84 panes!

Great organ

There are no less than three organs at Notre Dame, but you definitely won't miss the main one. The Great Organ comprises an impressive five keyboards and 8,000 pipes!

Relics

Among the religious relics on display at Notre Dame are a piece of Jesus' crucifix and a suspiciously bling Crown of Thorns. Get Your Guide cannot guarantee their authenticity!

It was an excellent and very enjoyable bike ride with Frank and Rudolpho. The route was fantastic with quiet small streets. We like it very much and we learned a lot. They were enthusiastic , told us jokes about the city and after the tour they gave us a map with nice restaurants and nice streets. I recommend this strongly as it was a highlight of our stay in Paris

The next best thing to a personal guide.

So much history and beauty in Notre-Dame. There would be no way to get the true experience without the Audio guide or a personal guide. A very informative alternative to a personal guide.

Most useful if you have a religious leaning

Although this tour is most useful if you have a religious leaning, there’s enough in it to admire matters such as architecture and design as well as true historical fact and silly (humorous) nonsense! Well worth it.
