What people are saying about Newport, Rhode Island
We will always remember Carlos and his little trolley. He immediately made us feel welcomed to the Newport area and comfortable in his presence. We had a safe and informative journey through time and the crowded, narrow streets of Newport. We learned so much about Newport and Rhode Island in an hour and a half, and were afforded an hour to take a tour of the Breakers mansion at our own pace. We could not be more pleased with the tour and our experience in Newport.
This tour with Carlos exceeded our expectations. He was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He gave us lots of information and frequently checked to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves and the tour. We added the tour of the Breakers and were pleased to have the same trolley and same guide return to pick us up exactly when he said he would. I highly recommend a Newport tour with your company, especially with Carlos leading the way!
I was travelling w my parents (age 65) and we were late for the start of the tour. Called to check if we could meet them at their next 'site' They were so incredibly helpful in making sure we made it to the right waiting spot/ calling the driver to let him know/ then calling me back to confirm - when they could have just said, sorry we cant help you. Aside from that the tour guide was very funny.
Joey, our driver and guide, was patient and informative. However, we were aware of some untrue information he stated as facts and he gave too much information about celebrities and the darker side of their lives, especially with young children in the group. I would have preferred historical facts without the drama. Overall, a good tour.
We booked a tour of Newport with an hour long stop at the Breakers mansion. It was a relaxing way to tour the city of Newport and Russ, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the extensive history of the area. He made the tour fun as well with his sense of humor. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
