Discover the first burial location in the city of New Orleans on a 1-hour guided tour. Hear about burial practices at St. Louis #1 Cemetery, and how there’s always room for another body in the small cemetery. See wall vaults, family tombs, step tombs, and others as your guide leads you along the weaving paths of this historic site.

Visit the tomb of the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau and hear about Voodoo mysteries and practices. See the sad deterioration of some of the older tombs and hear what is being done to restore them.

On exiting the cemetery you can head back into the French Quarter or take a break at the Basin Street Station.

• No refunds are available. No advanced call to the operator or no show mean forfeiting your voucher. Please do not be late. Tours depart at the scheduled time and no one may join after that time. Should you find you are unable to attend, please call 24 hours in advance to reschedule to avoid forfeiture of your voucher
• If you are driving, plan to arrive early. It is recommended that you park behind the Basin Street Station and walk into the Quarter. Pricing is typically $5/10 hours, Monday-Friday and $10/10 hours, Saturday and Sunday. During special events prices may increase
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. From May through September be sure to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Water is usually available for purchase at the cemetery and always at the Basin Street Station
