Full description
Visit two historic plantations on the Great River Road on a full-day trip from New Orleans. The Mississippi River properties to choose from include Whitney Plantation, Laura Plantation, and Oak Alley Plantation.

Whitney Plantation is open to the public for the first time in 262 years, and is the only plantation museum in Louisiana with a focus on slavery.

At Laura Plantation you’ll enter the fascinating world of Creoles, who lived at this sugar plantation for over 200 years.

If you choose Oak Alley Plantation you’ll be visiting the Grand Dame of the River Road. Louisiana’s most photographed plantation features Greek revival architecture and an alley of 300-year-old oak trees.
Includes
  • Guided tour of two plantation homes with narration en route
