What people are saying about New Orleans

It was very interesting and informative.

The swamp boat tour gave us an opportunity to llearn about the complex ecological nature of the swamp. At the Laura Plantation Katy gave us en excellent historical presentation on the lives of the plantation owners and the terrible conditions in the existence of the slaves.

Everyone should go to see how slaves lived and were treated.

With a better understanding of slavery we have a chance to overcome racial inequality some day...

Easy tour to Oak Alley - with plenty time to wander around by yourself

I enjoyed this tour from the beginning to the end. Pick up was great. Oak Alley Plantation was of course simply magical, but I also enjoyed the alone time one was given, wandering around taking photos, feeling the energy. There is a lot of sad history here. Do not miss the OAKS - those giant trees are so marvellous, so amazing, and SO old. I think I obsessed about them the most...

Well organized, clearly explained, interesting and beautiful.

The swamp visit with Captain Allen was very interesting. We saw alligators, herons, racoons, etc... Mr Allen knows his subject and gave us a lot of information that only a long experience in the swamp, and the outdoors, can teach. It was a very good experience. We followed by a visit at Laura's plantation. It was also really interesting. Our French guide, Victor, was amazingly knowledgable and attentionated. In addition to his speach, I recommand every visitor to buy the book "Laura's memoires" at the plantation, it's cheaper than in New Orleans stores and it's very usefull. By the way, I bought the smallest bottle of Pralines & Cream at the plantation's store and.... if I would have knew it was so good, I would have buy a big bottle. The store should offer samples to advertize, it's delicious. I was initially worry to book a tour, online, but it was a great one.
