What people are saying about New Orleans

Both swamp guide Nolan and plantation guide Margeaux were great!

They were well-versed and patient, handling every question competently. They were also able to share their enthusiasm with us.

A great day visiitng 2 of the iconic things in Louisiana

Had an amazing day. Very efficient pickup. The boat trip was awesone seeing alligators, racoons, birds and even the burial place of a voodoo queen. Was great that it was on private land where they don't hunt so the animals come up close. Guide was great showing us a baby 3 month alligator on the boat and all the different furs of the animals found around there. Kids loved it. Then I choose to sse Laura Plantation which was only about 25 minutes from the boat tour. Ut really showed Creole plantation life and they let you take pictures throughout. Lot of original furnishings and many fascinating stories. Loved it!

It was very interesting and informative.

The swamp boat tour gave us an opportunity to llearn about the complex ecological nature of the swamp. At the Laura Plantation Katy gave us en excellent historical presentation on the lives of the plantation owners and the terrible conditions in the existence of the slaves.

Easy tour to Oak Alley - with plenty time to wander around by yourself

I enjoyed this tour from the beginning to the end. Pick up was great. Oak Alley Plantation was of course simply magical, but I also enjoyed the alone time one was given, wandering around taking photos, feeling the energy. There is a lot of sad history here. Do not miss the OAKS - those giant trees are so marvellous, so amazing, and SO old. I think I obsessed about them the most...

Well organized, clearly explained, interesting and beautiful.

The swamp visit with Captain Allen was very interesting. We saw alligators, herons, racoons, etc... Mr Allen knows his subject and gave us a lot of information that only a long experience in the swamp, and the outdoors, can teach. It was a very good experience. We followed by a visit at Laura's plantation. It was also really interesting. Our French guide, Victor, was amazingly knowledgable and attentionated. In addition to his speach, I recommand every visitor to buy the book "Laura's memoires" at the plantation, it's cheaper than in New Orleans stores and it's very usefull. By the way, I bought the smallest bottle of Pralines & Cream at the plantation's store and.... if I would have knew it was so good, I would have buy a big bottle. The store should offer samples to advertize, it's delicious. I was initially worry to book a tour, online, but it was a great one.
