I had to call 3 times and email to schedule our pickup and a different location. We wanted to see the tortured artist exhibit in Pompei. We were told by our tour guide that it was closed. We were able to ask someone to re-enter and found the exhibit which was still open. The day was long, it would have been nice to have water provided and not have to pay to use the restroom.

Convenient way to visit Pompeii from Amalfi

Easy pickup from hotel in Amalfi on charter bus to Pompeii and Vesuvius and back. Guide was a bit lackluster and complained several times about the school groups at Pompeii. Lunch spot that group was walked to for meeting spot and encouraged to eat at was affordable at 14euro price fixe but tasteless.

Excellent tour of Pompeii marred by a pointless visit to Vesuvius

Our guide Alessandra was brilliant and gave us a fascinating tour of Pompeii - which you can only scratch the surface of in 2 hours. She was very helpful in getting us into the site quickly. Logistics of the transport with multiple picks up was very well thought out and excellent Then after lunch we went to Vesuvius the top of which was closed due to a landslide that had happened 10 days ago. We spent 30 minutes in a nasty car park with people selling tourist rubbish half way up. Everyone would rather have stayed longer at Pompeii.
