Located in the grand Bourbon Palace of Capodimonte used by the kings of the Two Sicilies as a summer residence and hunting lodge, the museum is the prime repository of Neapolitan painting and decorative art.

Your guide will take you to the main sections to see the legendary Farnese and Borbone Collection, the largest and most important collection of art in Southern Italy. Admire works by Tiziano, Botticelli, Bellini, and Brueghel, as well as Parmigianino and Correggio.

See a depiction of the “Crucifixion” by Masaccio, and “The Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine” by Carracci. Discover drawings by Michelangelo, as well as art by El Greco, Titian, and many more.

Wander into the old apartments to see the 18th-century furniture and a collection of royal porcelain and majolica. On the 3rd floor, you will find more contemporary art in the museum’s growing collection of significant artists of the international scene.

Thanks to our guide Lorenzo we really enjoyed in Copodimonte Museum.

Thanks to our guide Lorenzo we really enjoyed our visit to magnificent Capodimonte Museum. Lorenzo did a great job. He gave us an overview of history of Napoli, museum and Bourbon family. In two hours he showed us all most important arts. He gave very detail answers to all our questions. Thank you Lorenzo!

Very informative and considerate.

We were impressed by the guide's knowledge of art and ancient history, by his capacity to select from art works in the museum and relate to works in other collections and connection with historical context. He was a genuine and sensitive person and obviously passionate about his subject and city. We were very comfortable under his guidance and would have no hesitation in recommending him to other visitors to Naples.
