What people are saying about Nairobi

I had a wonderful weekend safari with Tony from Perfect Wilderness Tours. The value for money was spot on. Once we arrived at AA Amboseli Lodge, lunch was provided, then time out before a late afternoon/early safari. So many elephants! The landscape is something else and to see many animals wandering was great. After dinner, the Masai men came in and performed a show explaining their dances and gave a little insight to their lives. Yes you are invited to 'look' at their crafts they bring in, but that's part of the charm, I didn't mind, they weren't pushy and you could barter well. An early start saw us at the park for 7am and we seriously drove non-stop for over 5hrs. Too many sights to mention, all amazing, but was lucky to see a mum and baby hippo out of the swamp. Sadly no lion sightings but get it can be like a needle in a haystack. I was solo on my tour and Tony was knowledgeable, accommodating with my questions and professional. Definitely recommend!

We were picked up promptly at home by Shem and taken to the hotel to meet Geoffrey to start our adventure. Both gentlemen were courteous and professional. Geoffrey who took us on the game drive was an impressive and knowledgeable Tour guide and driver given the challenges that we were met with. (Flooding conditions and major pot holes on the trail) Unfortunately we were not able to see Simba, the baboons or the zebra which used to inundate the park. We did manage to see alligators, impalas, rhinos, giraffes, ostrich, buffalo, and birds. We were able to get out and walk around a bit. We were then returned to or drop off point which was much appreciated.

Nairobi National Park Half-Day Game Drive Reviewed by Jacquelyn, 02/01/2020

We had a fantastic day out in nature and saw some amazing animals. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had an issue with out vouchers on entry to the park which caused a delay by around half an hour waiting in the Jeep. It didn’t overshadow our enjoyment of the day though and I would recommend this trip to others who want to see as much wildlife as possible in a tour not too far from Nairobi.

Early morning game drive we saw Buffalos by the roadside,a few Giraffes,Black Backed Jackals, one Secretary Bird,a few Vultures. Highlights for me were one Black Rhino and a Lion pride with cubs along the road. There were five Crocodiles in the pond on the way out. Prompt pickup from our accommodation, friendly driver Tito,a good morning's outing to Nairobi National Park.

My tour guide Paul was great. He showed me everything great about the advertised regions and ushered me her professionally throughout my day and my journey. As for the program: I really enjoyed the biking and the boat ride. The nature there is just breathtaking. The Gauges were closed unfortunately so I will have to come back.
