Day 1:

Pickup is provided from 2 meeting points in Tokyo. Depart in an air-conditioned van and arrive at Mt. Fuji 5th station at 11:10 AM. Here, enjoy panoramic views from the tallest mountain in Japan. At 11:50, the bus leaves Mt. Fuji 5th station for Fuji-Q Highland, where you will enjoy a pre-set western-style lunch. Depart Fuji-Q Highland at 1:50 PM and head to the final stop of the day, Takayama Station, arriving at 7:15 PM.

Day 2:

Have breakfast at Country Hotel Takayama. Take advantage of free time to explore the Morning Market (open from 7:00 AM), and the Edo-period houses on the historic Sanmachi Street. Depart Takayama at 10:30 AM and travel to Gokayama Suganuma village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, admire thatched houses with A-frame roofs. At 12:20 PM, the bus will take you to the next UNESCO World Heritage Site,  Shirakawago. Photograph the 300-year-old Gassho-style houses in a village that was once considered a wild and unexplored region. Due to its natural environment, this village grew with limited interaction with the neighboring areas, which resulted in unique cultural practices and lifestyle, all of which can still be experienced today. Take a few hours to explore the village, eat lunch, and check out the Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum. At 2:50 PM, depart Shirakawago and arrive in Takayama at 4:15 PM.

Day 3:
Start the “Snow Walls” Alpine Route Day Tour. Take the express bus at Nohi Bus Center at Takayama station, and the tour of Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route from Ogizawa to Tateyama begins. Enjoy the dynamic scenery of the Alpine Route, known as the “Roof of Japan.” This tour is not accompanied by a tour attendant, requiring you to visit each point by yourself. Make sure to catch the express bus leaving Toyama Station at 6:55 PM at the end of the day.

Day 4:
Have breakfast at Country Hotel Takayama and enjoy the Morning Market sites until the bus departs Takayama Station at 8:45 AM. The bus first takes you to a national treasure, Matsumoto Castle, where you can enjoy its exceptional beauty and take photos. At 11:35 AM, the bus leaves for Lake Kawaguchi. Enjoy a lunch of Kamameshi (clay pot rice) on the bus. Explore on your own at Lake Kawaguchi and admire spectacular views of Mt. Fuji on the Panoramic Ropeway. Other activities include the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum and the local hot springs. Return to Tokyo in the evening.
