What people are saying about Mykonos

We ended up on a much better bus tour, but never got the walking tour

We booked just a walking tour. The night before, I found a combo walking/bus tour that seemed better and I asked to swap. I texted the new tour number. No problem, and we proceeded to the meeting place in the AM. The tour guide for the walking tour showed up, I explained how I swapped, and we had to wait another 45min for the bus. Once on the bus, I was suppose to pay the additional cost from the original walking tour to the combo tour, which we did in cash. After a few stops, it became evident that we were on the wrong tour. This tour offered a light lunch, we visited with farm animals, did some drinking and dancing. Our tour guide was excellent and we had a very good time. We were taken back to the meeting spot. On the tour that I had requested to swap to, there was a bus portion, going to the same places we went, but no lunch or farm visit. There was suppose to be a walking portion on the combo tour, so this part we never got. It was a great tour, but not the one we wanted!

Must see archaeological site, so much history and stunning!

Easy to book, check in and every step is being clarified before boarding the boat tour to the Delos Island. The tour guide was knowledgeable and allowed us time to explore and explained so much in details. however, at the end when there was time for us to explore ourselves, it was all a bit lost, no one told us what time we need to be back at the pier, and whether there were name checks to make sure everyone is back on, and so i saw so many people in fear of being left behind, they would rather cut short the exploring and stood and waited by the boat. Something needs to be done better to make sure everyone gets to spend as much time as they can on the island to take photos and check everything out. I wished there is also an option to reserve online and pay at the ticket booth, as many tourists may have sufficient cash fund with them, rather than using a non Euro currency card to pay which will incur an additional fee, which is not ideal.

Excellent guide but with too large a group.

The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We were in a group of around 40, which was too large. It meant moving around the site was slower than it could have been and the end of the tour was rushed. We were told we did not have time to visit the museum. But we ran and saw the museum in a hurry, by missing out the toilet and cafe. The museum has original artifacts and is brilliant. Make sure you see it !!

amazing place, cool story and non-crowded tour

i chose to do the evening tour thinking that it will be less crowded and i was right! There were only 3 groups on the whole island. I did the English tour with 15-18 people and it was very interesting! I learnt about the history of the place and saw some amazing statues and ancient mansions dating back thousands of years! The boat transfer was easy and fast as well. It was money well spent!

Interesting tour with informative guide.

A 30 minute boat ride takes you to the island which was pleasant. On arrival you are met by your guide who organises you into groups and you proceed through the gate. Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Passionate about the island and it's history. Well worth a visit whilst in Mykonos. Wouldn't go to the island without a guide as it wouldn't make much sense.
