This is the sort of experience you could only dream of or see in high-budget blockbusters. It was absolutely stunning and totally magical. Our tour guide was terrific, one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I've ever met and super fun. Our trip to Portugal was a budget trip and this was the one thing we splurged on, and it was worth every penny and then some. This is sort of thing is what life should be all about; great wine, spectacular views, and wonderful company. Do try it. I couldn't recommend it more highly, it exposes you to a beautiful slice of the world that few get to see and you are treated like royalty the entire time.
Loved it! All the stops were wonderful! I wasn't a big fan of the lunch provided it was good quality but not exactly what I expected. Pork was a little dry, the cod dish was a little heavy made with cream and cheese, and the vegetarian plate was a veggie lasagna. Sara our driver was AMAZING! Knows so much about the area, is so patient, and a real people person. The van is a little tight in space and not very comfortable for 1 hour plus drive.
We really enjoyed this beautiful trip. The wine tastings were good, the lunch in a gorgeous Quinta, along with coffee and more port while relaxing beside the estate's swimming pool and enjoying broad views of vineyard terraces. Philip was a good driver (I am a nervous passenger) and he enlightened us with commentary about wines and the region. Thoroughly worthwhile for people like us who do not want to drive.
A great day out. Diana, our guide was great and so knowledgeable. The scenery all along the way was out of this world!! Visited 2 beautiful winerys and the tours at each were very well done. Tasted some great food, wine and port and of course the weather was fantastic ☀️
Carla was a friendly and knowledgeable guide that showed us the prettiest places of the Valley. You get to visit one large Porto wine vineyard and a small family owned Winehouse which makes for a nice balance. Highly recommended day trip from Porto!
