Full description
Visit Barcelona’s Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, located in the Palau Nacional of Montjuïc that was built for the International Exposition of 1929.
Find the best collection of Romanesque mural paintings in the world and the most representative artists of Catalan Modernism, such as Gaudí or Casas.

Gothic art, great European Renaissance and Baroque painters, such as Tiziano or Velázquez and a collection of fine photographs, complete the collection.
Next temporary exhibition:

Gala Salvador Dalí

July 6th - October 14th

The exhibition will unveil a Gala who camouflaged herself as a muse while forging her own path as an artist: she writes, imagines and creates her own image, in addition to playing an essential role in Dalí's artistic development.

This exposition allows us to follow Salvador Dalí’s evolution as a painter and brings together an important collection of his work. The exhibition will also present a selection of paintings, drawings and photographs by other artists who were part of this surrealist universe, such as Max Ernst, Picasso, Man Ray, Cecil Beaton and Brassaï.

Never before has an exhibition dedicated to Gala been proposed at an international level.

The museum’s collection is organized in a number of rooms on the 2 floors of the facility. Before starting your visit, it’s a good idea to consider the time you have available and then decide whether to explore on your own or to choose from the guided visits on offer. Visits typically last around 2 hours.

Be sure to head up to the rooftop viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona.
