What people are saying about Murano
Four of us took this trip and on the whole we thought it was good value for ney. 2 things spoiled it for us, firstly the guide was rather abrupt and certainly when we were waiting at 1pm in the full heat of the sun with no shelter at all and she just sat in the shade on the boat and told us we had to wait for a further 4 minutes it was not the right thing to do.
We really enjoyed the glassblowing part of the tour but the ‘factory tour’ was just viewing their (admittedly lovely) glassware. You do get a good discount on anything you want to buy but I was expecting something different from the factory tour (I thought we’d learn more about the materials etc)
Would have liked to have seen more of Murano, although the glass making factory was interesting - would definitely have liked more time on Burano and Torcello as a glimpse is all we got. The timetable was pretty tight and we did leave a couple of people!!
An enjoyable day out. The trip was informative and we did get to see the sights. It was nice to have the on board commentary. But you do need to be prompt. We missed the return boat by 2 mins. We did not have to wait long though before the next boat left.
Crew was polite and boat service was exactly as described. There was enough time on each island to explore and glass blowing presentation was amazing.
