Start the tour at 10 AM from Liberty Square Tbilisi where you will meet your guide and hop into a comfortable minivan. Set off on your 20km drive towards the ancient city of Mtskheta which is known for its spectacular religious and cultural heritage sites. During the journey, listen as your guide provides fascinating and helpful information about Georgia and the day's itinerary.

First, visit the Jvari (Cross) Monastery which stands on the top of a hill overlooking the confluence of 2 rivers. Learn about how the monastery was named after the holy cross which was erected as a sign of new religion. Enjoy breathtaking views over the landscape before visiting the old church.

Next, head over the Mtskheta City Museum which is listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Visit the grandiose Svetsitskhoveli Cathedral which translates to the 'Life-Giving Pillar'. Hear about how it is believed that the robes of Christ were buried here. Learn about the history of the church and about the other kings who are also buried inside.

Then, follow your guide to Samtavro Convent which was the King's residence in the time when Georgia announced Christianity as its main religion. Hear about how the name of the place also derives from word Lord and Samtavro means 'Lord's Palace'. Finally, return back to Tbilisi where you will be dropped off back at the start point and your tour concludes.
