What people are saying about Mtskheta
I decided last minute to leave Tbilisi and this was one of the first options I saw. The selection of places to visit was intriguing and would give me some diversity with bot cultural and natural elements, so I went with it. What I got was a very nice day tour, with a very relaxed and friendly environment - I also got lucky with the rest of the people in the tour, I think, but we had both guides who were very knowledgeable and informal, and made sure the whole experience was the best it could be. The selection of places works very well and the surprise we got at lunch, eating amazing homemade Georgian food was one of the highlights. I would totally recommend this tour!
Time management good from start of tour,Our guide Natali is very knowledgeable ,inform us detail history of Georgia at every place ,She also arrange for us Halal food before we reached to lunch spot.Lunch was very delicious and the host family was very friendly (it was arrange at one of local family home ).Our children played with their children till the family finalized the food .The presentation and arrangement we liked very much. We enjoyed the natural beauty and old history with detail background knowledge. Transport comfortable.
This was one of the best tours I have done; professional company, fabulous guide, Tiko (knowledgeable, friendly & energetic), with a safe driver (very important in Georgia). Tiko created an atmosphere where a small group of strangers (5 people of all ages from all over the world) became friends; we had a lot of fun, saw & learnt lots, ate great food, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (and the comfortable, air conditioned mini van was an added bonus).
Strongly recommended. Wonderful sites. The cave town and Mtskheta cathedral our favourites. Katherine was a great personal tour guide! The lunch at a small local restaurant in Gori was exceptional! Would go back just for that! For some reason after hotel pick-up, we had to stop at the office to "register" - but it was really a "hello, enjoy your trip". Unnecessary stop in our view.
I am not typically a “tour” traveler, and was very pleasantly surprised how wonderful the tour was. From the beginning, our guide George impressed me with his knowledge and patience. The locations were great, and the home based lunch was extraordinary. The value was exceptional, and thank you very much!
