What people are saying about Mérida
Great value would highly recommend it. The ruins were amazing, the chocolate factory tour was terrific. So glad I didn’t pay attention to one review that said it was a waste of time. It definitely was not. The light show was disappointing. It was a story told entirely in Spanish, if you don’t understand Spanish you will get nothing out of the story. The lights were nice but not understanding the story was a big problem for many people who attented the show we went to.
Our guide, Augusto gave us an extrordinary tour of the Kabah and Uxmal ruins. Hacienda Uxmal was very comfortable and the staff, especially Luis, were friendly and helpful. Dont miss the Museo Choco-story across from the entrance for Uxmal. Plan to spend at least two hours.
Our guide, Rosendo Pech, was fantastic! He is Mayan, and knew so much about the area, the ruins and the history. We had a wonderful day with him, and learned a great deal. We went with family and everyone really enjoyed the day. Great job!!!
Want to learn about Mexico and Mexican food? Take this food adventure. Enjoying walking through the market and learning about food and spices. Loved taking the bus to Auntie's home to make authentic Mexican food. Such a great experience!!
The journey to the site from Merida was very comfortable and the early morning meant no crowds and mild not hot temperature. After the tour with Delio we had some time to take more photos before leaving the site.
