What people are saying about Mostar

Talkative driver knew a lot, but unfortunately no Mostar city tour

We did the tour from Dubrovnik to Mostar on 30th December with 5 other people in a minibus. Our guide Romeo picked us up at the time and place where we’re told via e-mail one day in advance. That was very convenient. Romeo told us a lot about Dubrovnik itself so we didn’t need a tour guide for Dubrovnik itself :) He is very international and open-minded, knows a lot about Croatia and the history. While going to Mostar we stopped in Neum and Pocitelj. In Pocitelj unfortunately only 15 minutes. Upon request Romeo also gave information about Mostar. However he just dropped us near the Old Bridge and picked us up after three hours and recommended to climb the minaret of a nearby mosque. There was no guided tour of Mostar as such. I would have loved to have a 45-60 minutes tour by him and then free time (maybe even more than 3 hours if you want to visit museums). On the way back we stopped in Ston. Overall tour lasted 10 hours and was very nice! Maybe ask the guide to show you Mostar also.

Fantastic day trip, excellent guide... a MUST do!

The day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina is a must do. We were picked up on time and immediately started our road trip to Bosnia. Kruno is an excellent guide... absolutely world class! From the first greeting, he was warm and welcoming. He made all the guests feel comfortable with his safe and careful driving. He allowed us all more than enough time at each stop to enjoy all that was on offer. Kruno entertained us all with interesting stories and history on Croatia and Bosnia sharing his knowledge on all the areas we visited plus more. Even though we were only in Bosnia for a day, with this tour and all the villages you visit, you will feel as if you've emerged yourself in the country. Kruno points out the "local" things you can do; eat and drink so that you get the full experience. The drive was amazing with lots of beautiful scenery ... the Dalmation Coast and beautiful Bosnian countryside - vineyards, mountains and valleys. Mostar is a fascinating town to visit! 5 stars!

Gorgeous waterfalls, Morocco-like Mostar, informative guide, 16 people

The tour guide, Nikolina was very informative talking about the history of Croatia & Bosnia Herzegovina (former Yugoslavia) on the bus to Kravica & also to Mostar. She told us not only about the history but also about the economy & many more details on the country & it‘s people. The Kravica waterfalls are gorgeous - I was even brave enough to go in for a swim. We spent 45 Minutes here (-15 walking to the waterfalls & back so technically 30 mins). I wish it would have been one hour & 30 mins since this would have given us more time to relax & unwind at the small bar in front of the waterfalls. This is my only criticism concerning this tour! In Mostar we had a local guide: Amala (I think that was her name). She was great ! She walked us into the city & gave us lots of information on Mostar as well as on Bosnia Herzegovina as a whole. Mostar itself was gorgeous - like being in Morocco & a bit Turkish too - really cool ! Great tour ! Highly recommend !

Mostar & Kravica Waterfall: Small Group Tour from Dubrovnik Reviewed by Simone Marielle, 05/11/2018

Great guide but the places are overrated

The guide Nicolina was great, decent knowledge and managed to get through the border quickly I bet because of her charming smile. Though bear in mind that there is an entrance fee for the waterfalls which is somewhat ridiculous considering it's just waterfalls and we only stayed there for 40 mins. And the mostar, well apart from bridge there wasn't much exciting things apart from cheap food. Overall if you have nothing to do then it might be worth going. Otherwise I'd go kayaking instead.

Fantastic day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina!

We are so thrilled with the tour we had on this day trip! We managed to do so much & gave us a good introduction to this country! We started with Kervica waterfalls, then made our way to Medjugorje. Then to our highlight of the tour Mostar! The drive was breathtaking. We had lot of time to enjoy a walking tour, lunch etc in Mostar. Silvia our tour guide was fabulous! The driver took good care of us. Hotel pick up was also included. Highly recommended & a must do from Dubrovnik!
