What people are saying about Mostar

Vidokrug's Private Sarajevo Tour Guided by Besam is My New Favorite

Vidokrug's Private Tour of Sarajevo and Mostar includes a great itinerary and Besam, my tour guide, made it a wonderful experience. Despite my booking the tour the night before, Besam arrived promptly and cheerfully at 6 am, which made it pleasant from start. Besam, whose English is perfect, conveyed a great deal of fascinating information as part of a conversation rather than a lecture. He convinced me to climb to top of the mosque in Mostar by persuading me that the view was worth overcoming my fear of heights and reassuring me that he would help me do it. A local guide lead an amazing tour of Sarajevo, including the Tunnel of Hope, the 1984 Winter Olympics sites, and the bridge where the Archduke's assassination sparked WWI. After a delicious and authentic dinner, we had a pleasant discussion while Besam expertly drove the curvy route home. At the end, I felt like I was saying good-bye to a friend. I plan to take Vidokrug's private 2-day Albania tour guided by Besam.

A wonderfully cultural day-trip with great insight into Croatian life.

Our tour guide was fantastic, coming right up to our airbnb to pick us up, even though we were on the outskirts of town - nowhere near the city centre. He was patient, informative and very friendly- it was wonderful to have such a relaxed and culturally-rich experience. We visited Mostar, saw the famous bridge made from traditional Bosnian methods, learnt about the history of the areas we drove through, learnt about the complex origins of the Bosnian war, tasted traditional Punjena paprika and saw the devastating after-effects of the conflict and exodus out of Bosnia. We were able to visit the old town and wind our way through the amazing city, seeing the traditional divers of Stari Most off the bridge of 24 metres and were even taken to the city museum to watch a short film on Mostar during the war. Would definitely do this tour again, and big thank you to our guide for such a great day.

Speechless... can’t describe in one sentence

We never expected to be so blown away. I am definitely putting Bosnia-Herzegovina in my bucket list... the trip was the whole package and our tour guide Peter was great, as well as Armana. He gave so much valuable and honest information about the history of the city, explained to us it’s involvement in the yougoslavian wars during the 90’s and explained everything from all different perspectives... amazed by everything. Guide tours gave very good tips for the free time (restaurants and such). The waterfalls were a wonderful and unique experience. Wish we could have stayed there more ! Bus was very comfortable and lots of space.

Mostar and Medjugorje Day tour from Split or Trogir Reviewed by Rusaila, 07/17/2019

Ivan was fantastic - he looked after us so well

Weather was awful but luckily in Mostar the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy. I wish we could have stayed in Mostar longer - it wasn't enough time and the waterfalls was not an option in that rain and in Medjugorje it was cold and rainy and you just had to sit in a cafe to get warm.

The guides were brilliant and very informative .

We found the trip very informative and brilliant and Anastasia needs complementing on her history knowledge. Mostar was very interesting and we loved the waterfalls. A great day out. Bosnian cuisine and wine was lovey too. A great trip all round thoroughly enjoyed it.
