What people are saying about Moscow Metro

We had a Spanish guide named Johana. She was amazing! She was well informed, knowledgeable, kind, and very patient for our large group of 9, including children. I highly recommend this tour. We got to see a lot of the Kremlin and we got to explore the main attractions of Moscow. We at first weren’t sure if we should have contracted a separate guide to tour the Moscow metro but with this tour is was enough! Everyone had earphones and she talked to us through that which was key! This way we could all hear her and she didn’t have to scream through the crowds of people. The only thing I would suggest is for the company to find another meeting point because it was hard for us to find it and we had to call the company and figure out somewhere else to meet. Besides that everything else was great!

Great guide to the not-to-be-missed Moscow Metro

To meet the tour group, we had to take a metro train, and that, on its own, was an experience. I never thought it will be this easy and straight forward and I came out of the tour with the confidence to use the metro network to get around. Our guide, Anna, was very knowledgeable and informative. The only down-side was the limitation of time. Not all the great looking station you see online were covered by the tour.

Our guide, Tanya, was knowledgeable and had many interesting anecdotes. There is nothing like hearing about a place from a local! We would probably not have ventured into the Metro stations by ourselves, and explanations about the art were valuable in understanding it. Being led through GUM was also fascinating.

My guide, Alexander, met me at my hotel and a little early and he started a history of the Moscow metro on our walk to the nearest station. He was friendly and full of knowledge and taught me a lot about Moscow and the history of the underground and several beautiful stations in particular.

Had the tour on a Friday at 15.00 (every day it is at this hour to avoid rush hours). However on Friday with people leaving early it was still pretty crowded. Only 8 stations are shown (which is relatively enough) but there are also other stations with great architecture.
