Full description
The experience begins with pickup from your hotel then heads to Kolomenskoye Royal Estate, a stunning palace complex steeped in Russian history. Upon arrival, follow your guide along a fairytale-esque promenade until you reach an imposing wooden palace which was the favorite residence of Aleksey the First and Peter the Great.

As you wander around the palace, which is now a museum, soak up the rich-historic atmosphere of this lavish building. Learn about the palace’s former resident, Aleksey the First, and hear about his hospitable nature as well as what life at the palace was like under his rule. Listen to stories about the food that would have been served to Aleksey the First and his guests in the formal dining room, where you will definitely be able to appreciate the spectacular interior details.

After your tour through Kolomenskoye, head to a nearby Medovukha distillery and meet the local brewer. Learn about and taste this beloved national drink, which is a Slavic honey-based alcoholic beverage very similar to mead.
