What people are saying about Montreal Waterfront
The tour was fun! Perfect way to get around the city.. I especially loved that we had 2 days to explore. The actual total tour if you don't get off only takes 2 hours. And it's not a real comprehensive tour - doesn't go across the bridge. But it's an inexpensive way to get across town from quadrant to quadrant. Some guide are much better than others. So if your guide isn't good - get off his bus and get on another! It's a quick overview. There are other longer more comprehensive tours.
A great way to see the main sites in Montreal, especially if you are limited on time. The ability to hop on and off is great, with only about a 15 min wait between buses. The double deckers are the ones to ride as they provide excellent visibility. The regular charter buses with high seat backs do not allow you to see much at all and should be avoided. Our guides were very knowledgeable and engaging.
I thought there were fewer buses with longer wait times compared to my previous visit. We stayed in The Village and the first bus did not get there until 10:45 am!!! Should have another bus depot closer to that end of town to start buses at 9 am! Also, used to offer 1 day package. Now we are forced to buy two day package. Not always practical for short-stay visitors!
The tour was great despite and issue with the sound system on the second day. I would just suggest that the bus stops were more explicit on the streets. You have the stop marked on the map, but you look at the street and there´s no sight, just for the regular bus. There should be a dedicated sign for the Hop-on Hop-off tour.
The tour is excellent. But, we were very angry when we found out we cut our day short at 4pm the first day as your site (and my payment receipt) says 4pm. It is not 4 pm every day. The first day it was 6 pm. We lost 2 hours.
