Neil is a superstar! Best tourgide ever.

The day we went to Chamonix was very rainy in Geneva where we start. In Chamonix it was rainy all the day, the cable car to Aiguille du Midi ( price is about 63 euros per person) was closed because of the wind and high risk of avalanche, so we visited Mer de Glace only. You have to take a train from Chamonix to Mer de Glace, it is about 32 euros per person and the way takes about 30minutes. You have to use a little cable car first - and it is for free and then you have to take about 420 steps to reach the Ice Cave (down and then when you want to return back also up) - so nothing for people with wrong condition. It takes about two and half hour to go with train, visit the cave and return to Chamonix. So if you are lucky person and weather will be good you can visit both places - Mer de Glace and Aiguille du Midi in one day. If the cable car is not working, you can walk throught the village and visit all the shops and restaurants here. The best tourgide is Neil, he is perfect!

A great experience with superb views from Auguille du Midi!

A great trip that gives the chance to experience some incredible views of the Alps if the weather holds out and the cable cars are going up! A rather expensive tour all in but worth it for a one-off experience in your life. The glacial man-made ice cave involves going down 430 steps and back again to reach the entrance so people with mobility concerns might want to give this aspect a miss; the Montenvers train ride does give very scenic views in itself during the journey and from the top vantage point. Only a guided tour on the coach on the whole - you are mainly left to your own devices doing the cable car and train once you have been escorted to and from the restaurant. A optional place to meet for lunch is suggested and is extra to pay on top if you book this with Key Tours or you can opt to make your own arrangements. The coach often also serves as the standard line bus so members of the public might join the group as well for the transport service.

Fabulous scenery. Simply unbelievable beauty.

Our guide needs to stick with his day job of tourism. His comedy attempts railing against everything of the United States were not appropriate, were offensive and not appreciated. My mobil ticket was incorrect which required alot of effort to correct at the location while the group moved on, I was left to contend with administrative issues which took me away from my trip. Terribly disappointing behavior from the guide and customer service on issuing a ticket below the grade of what I paid for. A delightful experience only because of the sheer beauty of Mont Blanc.

The most beautiful part of my trip to Geneva!

Well timed. Great guide, Neil witty and well organised. Astonishing views of the snowy mountains. breath taking cable car ride. More relaxed train ride. Unfortunately the ice castle was closed, so we don't know what we missed. Good lunch. The full day trip is a must do if you have around 10 hours to spend. I travelled with my husband and 7 year old son and we really enjoyed it ! Its cold at the top of the glacier, so winter wear would be a wise option.

Wonderful places to explore - a must when visiting Geneva!

Check the weather forecast before booking - on a sunny day the view of the surrounding mountains around Aiguille du Midi (incl. Mont Blanc) will be magnificent and unforgettable. With an extra hour time in Chamonix (departure at 6 p.m.) it would be also possible to take a cable a car to Bregant (actually this option was included in the received ticket).
