Got to See the Alhambra, Got to Play on a Segway

Tickets were not available for the Alhambra by itself, so we had to get in via a tour group, and even that also required booking an additional tour of Granada via a Segway/EBike. It was more than I really wanted to pay, but didn't feel I had any other option. That said, we're had a great day. The Alhambra experience was much more worthwhile with the expertise of a guide and Fernando did a wonderful job. We had headsets which made it much easier to hear and thus was much more informative, entertaining, and well paced. Afterwards came the Segway tour of the town of Granada. Our guide Fabricio was very enthusiastic, entertaining, and knowledgeable. It all combined to make for a great, one-of-a-kind day, that I am glad that I "splurged" for.

Gorgeous sunset view was worthbthe hike!

We had an English- speaking guide, a woman, for our group of 8. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. There was also a group led by a Spanish- speaking male guide and a much larger group. Unfortunately, for the forst 45 minutes of the tour our two groups were very close together. His voice overpowered our guide's voice to the point that we couldn't hear what she was saying, It was like stereo with Spanish in one ear and English in the other. For the second half of the tour his group was not beside us and we could hear fine. I would just suggest more space between the Spanish- speaking guide and the English- speaking guide. Great tour!

A great way to see old Granada in 2.5 hours without exhaustion

The tour started with Francisco a great informative guide of the Alhambra, I would recommend that you request him if he is available, his English is great and kept the group on task to see this impressive iconic palace and gardens and he gave us good recommendations for lunch. We then proceeded to do the Segway tour (our third) we love this form of transport especially on old world pavements. Again our guides where great Fabricio led the way and was fun and informitive, again ask for him. We had a tremendous day because of both these hard working guides!

good tour route but little explanation from guide

The group was mostly Spanish, (we were the only 2 non spanish speaking) and the guide seemed to spend a lot of time explaining the history of the sites to them, her translation was only one or 2 sentences into english which was very disappointing. We may as well have walked the route by ourselves. There are several tours on offer, including cheaper and free ones.. if you are looking for an english speaking tour perhaps try another! The route itself and the views are beautiful, so we still had an enjoyable afternoon..

Granada: Albayzin and Sacromonte Walking Tour Reviewed by Ayesha, 10/12/2017

You will exercise leg muscles going up the hill; result is a fine view

We explored - Albaycin and Sacromonte. Our guide was perhaps more interested in speaking Spanish to travelers close to her own age; nevertheless, we endured, and were pleased to have made the effort. One family brought a baby in a stroller and struggled with the pace of the walk on the hills. We left 20 minutes late, waiting for late arrivals, and then were told that our trip would be 2 hours, instead of 2 and a half hours. I felt like we were running to make up for lost time.
