Full description
Take in the 3 most culturally and historically important sites in the Mexico City area on a full-day tour that includes visits to Teotihuacan, the basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Tlatelolco.

Your tour begins with a visit to the archeological site of Teotihuacan, where you’ll marvel at some of the most impressive pyramids in the world. See the Sun and Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Avenue of the Dead, and more.

Next you’ll head to Mexico’s most important Catholic pilgrimage site, the basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This shrine was built to commemorate the reported appearance of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant.

The third and final stop of the tour is Tlatelolco, where it is said that the past, present, and future of Mexico meet. The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is named after the 3 periods of Mexican history that are represented by structures from the pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial, and the independent mestizo nation.

Allan was a great guide that made everyone in the group feel welcomed and seen. Even though he had to switch between two languages, he made it so that it didn't take up anyone's time and didn't miss out on the important information. His great spirit and the group size also made it easy to get to know everyone in the group. Furthermore, the stops were just the right amount of time and it didn't feel rushed. Pickup and drop-off at hotel was on time and smooth. I would definitely recommend this tour.

A fabulous day ( 26th February) out covering three very culturally significant sites. A must see in my opinion when visiting Mexico City. Take comfortable shoes as you’ll probably cover 7-8km during the day and the climb to the top of Pirámide del sol is 65m up steep steps but worth it as the views are amazing. I learnt lots from my guide over the course of the tour and felt I’d learnt quite a bit more about Mexico’s past civilisations and religious past by the end of the day.

The driver and guide arrived exactly at 8:30am as planned. Our first stop was to the Plaza of Three Cultures. Then on to a workshop where we had a chance to learn about the agave and obsidian. This was actually quite informative. We then went to the pyramids. Our guide gave us a general overview and climbed the Pyramid of the Moon with us. We then had about an hour and a half to roam about. Lunch was at a restaurant nearby. Buffet or a la cart options (not included in tour fee). Our final stop was Guadalupe Shrine. Jorge was able to switch from Spanish to English without dragging out the time. He was very pleasant. A few suggestions - take a hat and water. I think that because of the lack of signage at Teotihuacan, the meeting point should be discussed on the bus even before starting the pyramid tour. I also think that a bit more could have been pointed out at Teotihuacan. Maybe offer us a map of the area.
