What people are saying about Merdeka Square
I had a great time on this tour--went to the King's Palace; the Independence Memorial; the Botanical Gardens; the National Mosque; somewhere I'm not sure what the name is but that is sort of a Visitor's Bureau for KL with a very large model of the city, a gift shop, and a café; a market where I went to a store for that sold expensive leather goods and another store that sold delicious chocolate. We ended at the Petronas Towers where we made a quick stop so I could take a picture. My only surprise was that it was sort of a drop-off rather than a guided tour, but that was fine, the sites were great and Harry (the driver) was fun and friendly.
The driver, Peter, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We were running late but still was able to cover the whole itinerary for the tour. The tour was very informative and would make you appreciate the city (Kuala Lumpur) more. The tour is also reasonable price in my opinion. Me and my fiancee enjoyed the tour very much and would definitely recommend it to our friends who's going to KL for the first time.
Our tour guide was prompt on arrival to our hotel, friendly and explained the significance behind each memorial, garden, flag symbols, royal colours and foods, temple and culture ettiquette of the malay people. A Wonderful experience that has enriched our experience and knowledge of Malaysia and given us an appreciation of the diversity you have in your beautiful country.
Our driver/guide-lovely man called "CIGAR"-was absolutely brilliant. He was a mine of information and was so helpful to my wife and I in every way. We were so sorry when the tour was over. I also left my video camera in his car, but CIGAR was so good in delivering the camera to our hotel. Please pass on our sincere thanks to this lovely man. Patrick Cooney.
