Fun day! Train ride was fantastic tho a bit short which was ok with me. Our driver from AAT King (Steve) was friendly and knowledgeable about everything we were seeing. The second half of my day was spent at Healesville Sanctuary. A bit of walking and our pace was a bit quick due to tour time constraints but well worth the trip! Alitalia, our guide, was fabulous.

IT WAS A NICE DAY TRIP!

I liked The Morning Tea stop, at a Nice Place. The train trip was maybe a little bit to short, but Very Nice.I loved the Wild Park. But I could skip The Bird Show, and get closer to the animals.Maybe take pictures with them.Watch them get feeded. I had a GREAT Day! with a nice / good guidein The Park.

The description of the activity was misleading. The Puffing Billy was an interesting part of Melbournes rich history, but it took way too much time in the overall tour. It left us with only about three and a half hours at the Sanctuary, with one of those hours being set aside for lunch. When we got there, we were told not to order a hot lunch because we didn’t have much time. If that were the case, I wish they would have let us know before booking so that I didn’t feel the need to rush my lunch or so that I could have planned accordingly. I thought the package I bought included up close up encounters, as that was how it was described in the paragraph about what we would experiemce. While the Sanctuary was lovely I was really looking forward to an opportunity to feed the creatures. I was very disappointed to learn that was not part of the package. Our Sanctuary guide was very nice but didn’t tell us more than we could have read on our own. Overall, for what we paid, I expected more.
