Full description
This morning tour is packed with city sights and historical landmarks. Depart from Federation Square at 8:10 AM and enjoy the bustle of Melbourne’s city as your driver/guide keeps you posted on what to look out for along the way. Take in some of the city’s beautiful green spaces, including the riverside Royal Botanic Gardens, where you’ll disembark for a walk around. At 9:00 AM, visit the charming Fitzroy Gardens, home to Captain Cook’s Cottage. Originally built in 1755, the famous seafarer’s home was dismantled in England and shipped stone by stone to Melbourne, making it the oldest building in Australia. Stroll along stalls loaded with fresh regional produce, clothing and knickknacks at the historic Queen Victoria Market. Then, get a glimpse of Melbourne’s robust sporting culture as you cruise by the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Australian Grand Prix track inside Albert Park and Rod Laver Arena, home to the Australian Open.

At 10:50 AM, you'll stop at the Botanic Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance, where Melbournians pay their respects to Australian war veterans. After learning about this, the best way to add to your time in Melbourne is with an experience from the Yarra River. At 11:45 AM, join a 1-hour cruise on the Yarra River. Sit back and relax with complimentary tea and coffee, and onboard commentary while you cruise around for 1 hour of scenic bliss.

This tour walks you around Melbourne CBD and then small part is by bus. Cruise is approx. 1 hour. No flexibility to stop anywhere. Our guide was very knowledgeable but poor at keeping the group together when people wanted to enter a shop which led us to losing the tour guide and missing 50 minutes of our tour. This was handled poorly by the tour guide
