Full description
Start your tour at the Eureka Skydeck, an 88-story skyscraper that is home to stunning views of the city. Your guide will bring you to the top of the tower, pointing out key points of interest in the city and previewing where you will go next. After coming back down to earth, it’s time to explore Melbourne’s famous street art scene. What used to simply be called “graffiti” has become a trendy artistic style and the laneways of this city are filled with constantly evolving murals. Your guide will explain how the movement has developed, exploring the work of these back alley artists until you’ve worked up an appetite.

Your guide will take you to their favorite local restaurant for a hearty sample of one of the many cuisines Melbourne is known for. Here, your guide will tell you about the numerous waves of migrants, who have helped to create the Melbourne we see today. After you’ve finished eating, you'll grab a coffee and your guide will explain what makes Melbourne coffee unique.

Finish with a tram ride down to Melbourne's iconic Queen Victoria Market, where your guide will introduce you to the market and then leave you to explore on your own. By the end of your tour, you’ll be able to spot amazing art, cafes, restaurants, and bars like a local. But if you still need more tips, your local guide will be happy to offer up some suggestions for the rest of your stay.

On the Melbourne "bites & sites" tour you can learn a lot about the city in an entertaining way. Our tour guide Tristan guided us competently and in a very entertaining way through the multitude of arcades and streets in Melbourne. :))) The "bites" are not revealed at this point, that remains a surprise; )

The tour starts with a visit to the awesome Eureka sky deck and continues through the city to the Queen Victoria market. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had interesting stories about the city to tell, showing a lot of street art on the way. After the skydeck we visited a coffee place, where we had a coffee and bagles and later an icecream on the Queen Victoria market. However, I have two major complaints: 1) the tour didn't match my expectation. It had not too many sights, and even less bites. It was a nice street art tour, topped with a visit to the skydeck, and a small bite. 2) the price for the tour is way too high. We paid $95 per person for a 3 hours tour that included a visit of the skydeck (worth $15), one coffee, a quarter of a bagel, a small piece of a cannoli, and an icecream. The tour guide was a great guy, but the description of the tour is quite misleading and the price is way too high.
