If you are visiting Medellin, you should certainly consider a side trip to Santa Fe. It's a beautiful town in which to see what life is like outside the big city. I enjoyed the walk across the Puente de Occidente bridge where I took some amazing photos of the scenery. In the town of Santa Fe, the tour stopped for lunch at a nice restaurant where food was served buffet style. The walk around the town's main plaza was charming, and was another opportunity for photos. The tour ended at another town square where local vendors sold fruit, handcrafts, and snacks. Just a few things to note: Santa Fe can get quite hot, so dress appropriately. Also, use sunscreen. Bring an umbrella...it's good for rain or to shade yourself from the intense sun at the bridge. This tour is 100% in Spanish, so if you don't have some fluency in the language, you may want to book a tour in your language. Finally, be ready to depart Medellin by 7 am, even though the listing gives an 8 am departure time.
Well done, fun trip, excellent guides (Carlos and Paula); from explaining, breakfast, lunch, Guatape Marinilla tour and climbing the rock (best part), all was superbly delivered, deserving 10/10. Bus driver did a great job.
The tour was great, the guide was great! and the time we spent in each area was prefect! Special thanks to Sergio who went above and beyond so my boyfriend and I make it to the trip! We have really appreciated his gesture
Our guide Julio was great. The whole day was absolutely amazing, seeing breathtaking countryside, local villages and an organic coffee farm. Would do it all again. Highly recommend.
The guide was excellent in showing us the authentic Medellin, untainted with tourism. He gave us a very good overview of the city and was more than willing to answer any questions.
