What people are saying about Maspalomas
This was our first time to Gran Canaria and we wanted to see some sights without renting a car. Our expectations were definitely exceeded on this tour! It was very well organized and we appreciated that they picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel. We learned a lot about the island, tasted some delicious rum, toured a couple of fantastic small cities, and drove out of the touristy areas into the heart of the island. We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see most of the highlights of Gran Canaria without figuring out the logistics on your own!! A few tips for those who decide to go: bring some money (lunch at an incredible restaurant overlooking a valley was €11 each, plus €3 for juice), bring a jacket and maybe pants (the weather will be quite a bit colder than down in Maspalomas), and sit on the right side of the bus for the best views of the valleys below. We can’t recommend this tour enough and will definitely do it again next time we’re on the island!
Tom, our multilingual guide was charismatic and informative. He made the tour informative and interesting whilst enduring we were safe, informed and back on the coach at the correctives. We had not appreciative that a ‘small’ volcanic island could be so different. From moutains, minerals, vegetation, farming, tourism, weather, beaches, ports and cultures. A microcosm of life surrounded by the sea. Our amazing driver safely took us along one of the most dangerous roads in Spain to some amazing views, hairpin bends and alongside cliff edges.
I loved how passionate the team running the boat were. They stressed that the the animals were free and wild, and we weren't disturbing them. They even pulled out an old fish net from the sea while we were sailing. It showed how much they cared about the ocean and the animals in it, which is a big thing for me!
I would highly recommend this trip. Real sailing on rolling seas, spotting dolphins and sipping Champaign. Walter was a wonderful host. His boat is as immaculately kept. If taking children I would recommend taking sea sickness tablets in advance as a precaution. Highly recommended and great value.
The tour was absolutely brilliant, the best way to see and learn about the Gran Canaria. Tour guide Fran a genuine person, so helpful, positive and knowledgeable about the island. Plus we had some free time to stroll around on our selves.
