Full description
The MuSaMa Museum is located in the historic center of Marseille, near the old harbor and in front of the old vestige garden. Step inside and enter a world of soap, where you can travel through the history of soap from its past to its future!
This museum is dedicated to a product that has become famous around the world: Marseille Soap, which was created in the 14th century. The museum has 3 spaces for you to explore and enjoy: the permanent exhibition on the history of Marseille Soap, a temporary exhibition of different artists from around the city, and a workshop with a local soap maker.
In the workshop, you’ll learn how Marseille Soap is made from local factories, the different ingredients, and the difference between this soap and others. You’ll even get to make a sample of your own soap – cut out a fresh bar of soap and personalize it with some local stamps. Your visit to MuSaMa will be more than just a cultural experience – it’s a truly fun and entertaining activity!
