What people are saying about Marrakech

Incredibly memorable adventure to the Sahara desert!

This was my favorite part of my trip to Morocco. The only downsides to our trip were due to the fact that we chose to go in July, which is really not an ideal month to visit the Sahara lol. It was extremely hot and windy, spring and fall are much better months to go if you can plan accordingly. Our driver, Mohammed Obama, was excellent. He was so relaxed, kind and a very safe driver (something I was worried about since the roads through the Atlas mountains can be a little treacherous by US standards). It was fun traveling w a small group of other tourists, it felt kind of like we were at summer camp. I wasn't prepared for all of the cool stops we made on the way, including a very cool canyon that reminded me of Zion in Utah, as well as Berber villages so that was fun! All of the guides in the camp at the Sahara were super welcoming and friendly. It was nice that they took the time to hangout with all the tourists after dinner. Overall a memorable excursion that I'll remember forever!

Magical, a trip you will always remember and cherish.

Looking at the name of the trip, you only expect to see the desert. But the roadtrip by itself is a beautifull experience. The trip takes you to the Atlas Mountains, to the ancient Ait Ben Haddou, with your local guide who will tell you a lot about the history of those places. Staying in the hotel in Tanghir with a pool is a welcome surprise to end the first day. Second day is all about getting to the desert we thought, so again it was a nice surprise that we first visited the green valley and mountains of Tanghir which looks like a fata morgana. After Tanghir you go to Merzouga to stay at the desert which is the best part of the trip. The desert is just beautifull and magical, watching the sun going down and up. Sleeping in the tent is okay. Warm, but the bed is really okay. Food is fine, the people are very polite. On our way back we had a big thunderstorm in the Atlas Mountains. Roads were blocked due to heavy rainfall and mudstreams. Our driver Obama Mohamed saved us big time.

Gorgeous waterfall! Guide wasn't efficient with our time. No regrets

The Waterfall was gorgeous. I recommend you book a tour to see it. We were frustrated with our guide's inability to keep our group together and efficiently show us & tell us about the sights. Upon arrival we wasted time waiting for another group to join us, then we wasted time standing inside a hot Berber house waiting for the guide to Finally speak to us, then when we arrived at the waterfalls we were given less than 30 minutes to enjoy the falls. He told us to start walking up the hill where we were expected to "sit" at a restaurant for approximately 45 mins to 1 hour. Our guide never gave us a specific meeting point or time during the entire day. We just followed him like little ducklings. Had the guide given us 2 hours at the waterfall and a meeting point for departure to the bus, we could have spent our time at the Waterfall at our leisure instead of worrying that our Guide was going to leave us at any point in time.

Ouzoud Waterfalls Full-Day Trip from Marrakech Reviewed by Janet, 06/29/2019

A beautiful experience, highly recommended. Our guide Yusuf was great!

We were picked up on time, the transport unfortunately didn't have working WiFi as advertised but it wasn't a massive issue. When we arrived to Ouzoud, we were lead by our guide Yusuf through the town and into the trail to the waterfall. Yusuf was very friendly and knowledgeable, he made the tour great. Once we got to the waterfall, we had lunch with incredible views. From here we made our way back to the minibus and home. All in all, a great experience.

Interesting experience but too many hours by bus

The tour was interesting but we were on rush all the time. Not enought time for seeing all the places and no free time. We wasted time going to the shops the guide took us, the restaurants for lunch were expensive + bad service/quality (in comparison with other ones we went by ourselves), the hotel of the first night was not a 4* hotel (at most 2...) and the last day was hard because of the 10 hours of bus with only 3-4 stops for coffee/toilet.
