Your day begins by a pickup in a 4X4 vehicle and a ride along rough and rugged roads from Marrakech through to the High Atlas Mountains. The region's ethereal beauty creates a mystical atmosphere as you pass through valleys and climb the massive mountains.
Morocco's original inhabitants are Berber people, a group largely overlooked by the rest of the world. They have lived in a peaceful lifestyles since Roman Empire era. You will have a trek up the famed Berber Track up to the Atlas Mountains and into the remote and beautiful landscape that the Berbers call home.
You are going to see exotic villages, ancient structures, the smiling faces of locals, and a large variety of produce fields. This one-day tour will make go deep in a place rich history and full culture that exists in the heart of High Atlas Mountains. Depending on weather, you may spot thick vegetation and hillsides covered with wandering sheep, or towering, snow-covered peaks in the distance. You are going to go through past old grain mills and hillside dwellings at Tahanaout, gaining insight into the quiet rural life that characterizes the Berber people. Leave the Berber Trail with the feeling of having looked deep into a world that's completely different from your own, having experienced a memorable glimpse into another way of life.
Lay your eyes upon views of peaks that rise to nearly 3,048 meters high as the different landscapes blend to form a lush scene for you to delight in. You will have the option to have lunch (not included) in a restaurant which overlooks Toubkal Mountain, before heading back to city life in Marrakesh.
