What people are saying about Marrakech

A lovely fascinating and tasty tour with our very knowledgable guide

This was really a fantastic worthwhile tour. Our guide, I think she was called Adinka, was extremely knowledgable about everything we asked her, and gave us loads of other interesting facts besides the food, all about the Moroccan culture and history of Marrakech. We really enjoyed this 3 hour tour, and some very tasty titbits to eat too as well as the main meal. Five stars to her.

Great trip to see the Atlas Mountains and waterfall

Adil was a excellent tour guide and we really enjoyed the local breakfast with traditional tea and argan oil dips. Be prepared for the climb to the waterfall and wear Sensible footwear. It was a great day out.

Not only a great cooking class, but a whole experience!

We loved our cooking class with Edwina, and appreciated the morning coffee and meal planning session, learning the market lingo in arabic, going to the market and getting her input not only on food but pretty much anything we had questions about, and of course the cooking itself. Edwina always has stories and anecdotes and knows much about Moroccan culture and food in general. She can be tough when needed but always gives positive feedback to finally end up with a surprising number of delicious dishes. As an added bonus, nothing is a secret and she sent us all recipes and even made some tomato salt with us on request which we could keep for free at the end. She also has a small selection of high-quality items available for sale (spices, oils), but will also tell you what to look for if you plan on doing your own market shopping. All around great experience, and while expensive for Morocco, definitely worth it!

Really enjoyable evening spent; thanks to Youssef

Youssef met us at the appointed time; he was punctual, very polite and made us feel at ease right away. The other people that were meant to turn up didn’t and so, we had a private tour. We wandered through the streets of Marrakesh, stopping to have some locally prepared doughnuts that were surprisingly different to anything we had tried before - really tasty and not sweetened, washed down with some mint tea. We continued trough the streets of the medina trying pastries, olives, locally baked bread and other delicacies on the way, learning about some of the history and tradition. We then sat down to some local soup and finally, our main meal; I tried the sheep’s head and my partner had a tangier. All the food was really nice, we spent time with locals and all a wonderful experience thanks to Youssef. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and we felt very safe in his company. Thanks again for a great experience. Tunde and Therese

Magnificent, cultural and gastronomic adventure

The guide Luke was WONDERFUL, the myriad food types plentiful and delicious. The group from America, Australia, Germany, China and my wife and I from the UK enjoyed it thoroughly. The case of the lost and found iphone will be a story to tell the children on our return.
