What people are saying about Marrakech

Great little walk around the mountains and insight into local culture!

Good value trip to see some of the countryside outside Marrakech. The stops on the way were good for photos of the views and the little oil production talk was interesting. Didn't feel pushed into buying anything, although did get a souvenir anyway. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we spoke in both French and English. I don't think we would have been able to learn as much if speaking in just English, but could have discussed most things without a problem. Again there were items for purchase on our walk to see the falls and around the villages, but nothing pushy. The lunch was great, catering for a vegetarian, and our walk back and drive home were fine. Not particularly strenuous for anyone in a somewhat fit shape. Good shoes would help, but not necessary, mine had poor grip, but I managed fine. Very little waiting around compared to what we expected from reviews of group tours. Only criticism is aircon wasn't turned on in the car, but we didn't ask. Overall a good excursion.

Great driver, fantastic experience, but inaccurate itinerary.

Let me start by saying we had an amazing time on the road together with our driver Omar. Omar is a great guy and the scenery along the way was absolutely stunning. It's a long drive to the desert, but I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Morocco to go there. With regard to the excursion. The car was good and our driver was great. The accommodations were basic, but I guess that's to be expected considering the price. We were a bit disappointed by the fact that the desert camp was actually not in the desert, but just outside/on the border. The desert was furthermore very crowded, at some point it felt as if we were in a camel traffic jam (we were later told the desert at Zagora is more quiet). The excursion furthermore did not exactly follow the itinerary as presented online (e.g. we did not sleep in the Dades valley) and this was very annoying. Overall I would recommend this excursion, it's good value for money and a great experience.

We had a great tajine cooking workshop with Sanae on the roof terrace

Since our breakfast and transport took much longer than expected we arrived 30 mins too late at the meeting point. I had called about this and since we were not alone 'another cook' was arranged. Sanae was the best we could get! Very friendly, with humor and speaking English very well. We went shopping first after arriving at the roof terrace +/- 1hr later. There we started with Moroccan tea (with lots of sugar!) including an explanation of all the habits and ceremony that comes with it. After tea we started preparing our meals. 3 persons per Tajine, 9 in total. The meat (chicken) was already cut but everything else was 'sliced and diced' by us. Sanae kept talking and joking with us. Explaining about the herbs, local cuisine, etc. We made the main dish, a salad and a desert (orange cinnamon) which was all very tasty. I can recommend this workshop to anyone, it was a very nice activity.

The highlight of our short stay in Marrakesh

This tour was chosen among others because of its high 5 star rating and it lived up to our expectation... Abdul our driver was friendly knowledgeable the tour went at a very leisurely pace in the beautiful surroundings of the Atlas mountains... simply the highlight was a traditional Berber meal in a traditional berber family at such a peaceful location ... the meal, company, location was perfect... it was if we we're family guests we we're treated with such warmth...the tour was just the perfect combination and timings just the right amount to take in the surroundings... I can recommend this tour ...

Great experience! Must go if in Marrakech Omar was a great tour guide!

Booked this tour for my girlfriend and I and it did not dissapoint. Omar our tour guide went above and beyond our expectations. He gave us a in depth history of the food we were tasting and was also great fun to be around. At the end of the night he helped us find a way back to our hotel and made sure we got a fair price on our tuk tuk back, which was very kind of him! One helpful tip for those thinking of booking, go on an empty stomach as you're provided with plenty of food. Thank you Omar once again for a memorable experience in Marrakech.
