Full description
Discover Rigi, the Queen of the Mountains, from its most beautiful side on a half or full-day tour. Begin with a boat tour on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Modern motor boats and nostalgic steamboats (in the summer) bring you over the incredible, fjord-like water to Vitznau.

From Vitznau, head to the venerable old Rigi Train on the queen of the mountains. A fantastic view of the Swiss Plateau, the Black Forest, the Vosges Mountains, and the Alps awaits from Rigi Kulm. Descend with the rack railway to Rigi Kaltbad and from there take the cable car to Weggis. Finally, return by boat to Lucerne.

Due to revision work on the cable car from March 9, 2020 until April 9, 2020 Rigi is only accessible via cogwheel train from Vitznau.

Suggested itinerary for a full-day tour:

A beautiful trip organized partly by the Get Your Guide and yourself.

The Rigi region is wonderful especially in good weather, but you should need more information from the organizers. You should know the timetable of the all of the trains in advance in order to organize your trip. My suggestion for the Get Your Guide: you should show the time table of the trains in a pdf form for the travellers on your website.

A nice 3 star Bed and Breakfast

A very clean hotel, and a very helpful owner. Only down side was no toilet or shower unit as had to share. To note only 3 car parking paces but you can park at the car park opposite over the rail way track, as the owner did provide a parking badge. Breakfast was a nice continental type.

As a big fan of Swiss trains, I wanted to show my 18-year-old grandson the first rack train and everything went wonderfully as usual in this country. a great experience for both and unforgettable moments.
