Full description
Enjoy a full-day tour of 2 of the West Country of England’s most famous attractions on a coach trip from London to the standing stone circle of Stonehenge and the Roman and Georgian city of Bath.

Following your transfer from central London, start by exploring the mysteries of Stonehenge, the world’s most famous prehistoric monument. Dating back some 5,000 years, the stone circle is located on Salisbury Plain, and has been home to pagan religions and spiritual worship for centuries. Try to unlock some of its secrets at the new Visitor Center.

Then, continue to Bath in time for lunch at leisure. There’s an incredible selection of restaurants in the city, including traditional pubs for a classic pub lunch, quaint tea houses, and cool sandwich shops for a quick snack.

Enjoy ample free time to wander the delightful crescents and terraces of the city to see fine examples of Georgian architecture. If you prefer, visit the Roman Baths, built around 2,000 years ago. Marvel at the grand Bath Abbey, or go to the romantic Pulteney Bridge across the River Avon.

Learn why Bath was so loved by Jane Austen at the Jane Austen Centre, and visit the elegant 18th-century Assembly Rooms. There will be plenty of time to shop, or to enjoy afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms, where the quintessential English experience is accompanied by live classical music.

Excellent tour! The coach was comfortable and the drive was lovely. The time allotted for each place was good also. We departed on time, and arrived back prior to 8 pm. Our guide, Andrew, was very knowledgeable about Bath, and also kept us entertained with his general knowledge about London and surrounding area. All in all, a wonderful time was had!

A great journey into the history of Stonehenge and Bath.

Our tour guide, Malcolm, made time fly during the long coach rides with his witty and informational bits. We had someone with us who had a disability so we moved at a slower pace. Due to this we felt like we had not enough time at Stonehenge to have a look around and see the museum there. I was under the impression that the fee covered the entrance to the Roman Bath Houses but it does not. We had to pay £17 extra to enter the Roman Bath Houses. Regardless, that was great idea because there was lots to see and learn there. We spent 2 of our 3.5 hours there. We then decided to do afternoon tea at the Pump Room, which was great but it took up the rest of our time and we were not able to see the Abbey nearby. Time was tight but regardless we saw lots and enjoyed the trip.

Worth the trip

Better than going on your own. Guide was well knowledged of London and filled the long bus ride with interesting facts about London leading into Stonehenge. I was tempted to add one more spot to this tour, like the Windsor castle option, all the reviews said worth it but too rushed. Doing just Stonehenge and Bath was well enough time spent. An added attraction would have rushed the trip.
