Full description
In 1888 there were a series of horrendous murders London's East End. Five women were killed and their bodies mutilated. Nobody could discover the identity of the killer, so police named him Jack the Ripper. Despite police investigations and numerous studies, the true identity of the murderer remains a mystery. This walking tour delves into shadowy passages of the East End, and takes you down streets that have changed little in over a hundred years.

The tour starts at Aldgate Station, where your guide will tell you about the slums and living conditions in London at the end of 19th century. Walk through the streets where the sex trade boomed during the Victorian era. Then you will see the murder site of Mary Ann Nichols, one of Jack’s victims.

Walk through the dark streets to the murder site of Catherine Eddowes, the second woman to be killed in the Whitechapel murders. Following the murder of Catherine, it was noticed that a piece of her blood-stained dress was missing. Discover the site where the missing material was found. Pass The 10 Bells, the historical pub where the Ripper's victims worked and drank. Chilled by the horrific story of these murders, finish your tour by Christ Church in Spitalfields.
