Very useful service. The direct transfer between Gatwick airport and London Victoria station is frequent and comfortable, short-lived (about 30 minutes) and allows you to reach the Circle and District lines and then continue the journey to the city center. Victoria station is equipped with exclusive tracks for this tram service, very visible, in red color on which the word GATWICK EXPRESS is written and therefore also the return to the airport is not very complicated. To physically withdraw tickets once landed is very simple thanks to the voucher of the GETYOURGUIDE application; presenting it at the “train-bus tickets” desk located after baggage claim, the ticket release procedure takes a few moments.

We have converted the e-tickets at a ticket machine into a train ticket. Was easy to do. You have the choice to only print the outward journey first or also the return ticket. Did the latter then you do not have to go past the machine on the return trip. A quick search for the train, but it also went well. Sitting on the train. Were very fast from Gatwick airport to Vicoria station. And from there by metro to Paddington. Returning was just as easy. Great recommendation.

This is a remarkable service, when it’s running. (There have been problems) I had no luggage to haul around though and at Victoria there were many stairs leading to the underground, so actually using this transport regularly would be difficult if I had suitcases. I travel to Spain almost monthly, and at the age of 72, managing the terrain would be problematic. I usually drive to Gatwick from Essex, and on return sitting in queues to cross the river at Dartford is daunting. In short, the Expess is great. The rest no so much. Anita Gregory ( Gray)
