What people are saying about London

We had a lovely day in fine weather, loved the glass sculptures.

Great day out, some very unusual and beautiful plants. The blossom was out, the colours fantastic. I particularly liked the cactus house and the glass sculptures. 240 acres is a lot of ground to cover so we only had time and energy to cover around half of the site.

Wonderful walks, fancy trees and fresh air

Kew Gardens is a great place, fresh air, an enormous variety of trees and plants. Beautiful walks and buildings, one day is definitely too short to explore the whole garden. It's a wonderful place for all ages who love walking.

We are so very lucky to have such an amazing resource in London.

We spent a wonderful day (6 hours) at Kew and still did not manage to see everything! It was a crisp and sunny March day so a lot of trees and plants had started to bloom, including the cherry blossoms. It however does not matter when you go as there is so much to see and learn and you can spend time in the amazing Temperate and Palm (tropical) houses, if you get cold in between walks. An excellent reason for going is that the entrance fee is helping to prevent the extinction of rare plants. We met a friendly lizard living in the in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, went to the Hive, up the tree top walkway (offering great views) viewed a lot of plants/trees in between. We refrained from jumping on the train that runs through the gardens to get to the other side as needed to walk off our scrumptious lunch at the Botanical restaurant and cream tea at the Orangery! We will return in June and September to see the seasonal changes. Children we saw seemed to enjoy the activities too.

One day is not enaugh to see everything. Perfect!

I came on the last day of the Orchid festival I did not know before. I had to wait in a very long queue for 1 hour to get into the princess House, but it was really fantastic, marvelous! I visited all the big greenhouses, Orangery, Pagoda etc., but still did not see everything after one whole day spent there. I was very sorry to see that the Kew Palace was not open yet, a bad surprise.

Enormous park with many and varied attractions

You can spend a whole day in this lovely park. Although you might not be seriously interested in gardening it is fascinating to see so many species of trees and plants in natural surroundings and beatiful buildings. Only a bit annoying that a few things were closed for the winter already mid October - the price of the ticked was not reduced.
