What people are saying about Livingstone
A excellent way to see the tourist must sees of Victoria Falls as well as a look at the real life in the settlement, all while physically active. After too much time spent in airports, on flights, in buses and vans, it was wonderful to be out, about and active. As I was the only one signed up for this activity at the time I enjoyed a personalized guided tour. This activity can be tailored to meet your requests or along a set route. Biking through the guide's own home settlement, meeting his family, spending time at his favorite bar for a drink, and meeting his friends was an insight into local life not afforded to the regular tourist. All while feeling completely safe and comfort. Bikes were comfort and in great condition. Highly recommend this activity for anyone comfortable with biking and reasonably fit.
The experience was fantastic and allowed us to take in the evening atmosphere and see some fabulous wildlife. You do need to be careful with times though. Our ticket said 6 pm and we were expected to be collected from our lodge. However when we spoke with some other visitors in the afternoon they mentioned that they were being picked up at 4 pm. Upon checking it transpired our pick up time was in fact 3.55 pm irrespective of the advertised price on the ticket. This resulted in a very rushed preparation for our activity and we nearly missed our pick up. I would recommend you check your pick up time, irrespective of that advertised on your voucher. Once settled for our transfer though the activity was relaxing, drinks free flowing, snacks cooked to perfection and ambiance indescribable.
I actually was the only customer, so this was in fact a private tour. Two guides did their job very well: one cycled with me while the second drove a car in front of us to warn us when there were dangerous animals ahead (mainly elephants). After a visit to the railway bridge and a drive through bush we had a drink at a lodge and then cycled through all local townships - Victoria Falls is quite a small settlement. This drive eventually ended in Kudu bar (which only locals seem to visit as I was only white person there) where we drank beer.
A relaxing cruise, good variety of drinks and light refreshments. The skipper had a good sense of humor, and spotted the hippo’s, crocodiles and other wildlife along the river banks. Well worth the money!
Fantastic bike ride with the best guide you can imagine. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
