Full description

Take a short walk to the Maritime Museum of Liverpool, where exhibits tell the story of the city through costume, decorative art and everyday artefacts, before heading back towards Albert Docks and the 18th-century Liverpool Town Hall where the Beatles had their homecoming reception in 1964. Journey down one of Liverpool's original streets en route to Mathew Street to see the Eleanor Rigby Statue and new statue of Cilla Black in the Cavern Quarter.

End your tour at the Cavern Club, where the Beatles played 292 times between 1961 and 1963 and where there is usually live Beatles music on stage. The tour has something for everyone and is perfect as a shore excursion, as the starting point is less than 5 minutes walk from the cruise terminal.

Fantastic guide, this morning, 21 November, started at 10.30am. She made the tour so interesting, very passionate about her city of Liverpool, made it very personable. Was about the history of the Beatles but also some history of Liverpool. we saw and heard about things you just wouldn't notice on your own. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you.

Excellent! Even in the rain.

We had a good guide (Catherine) who showed us around the key places and brought the Beatles era alive for us (even though we remembered it!) Completely loved the Cavern club and the live music still playing there today. We were lucky enough to see the Double Fantasy exhibition too ... fascinating and so moving. Would highly recommend this tour; good value for money and not just about the Beatles, good city history too.

We absolutely had a great time on this tour. Our guide gave us loads of facts and showed us many things regarding the Beatles, but also about the city of Liverpool - Things we never would have seen or known had it not been for the tour. The Cavern Club is a must see for any Beatles fan, not to mention any fan of Rock and Roll. On a sprinkly day in Liverpool, this tour was a ray of sunshine!
