Full description
Your local tour guide will take you on an easy shared guided walk from the Cavern Quarter, taking you past the Eleanor Rigby and John Lennon Statues for photos outside the famous Cavern Club (it is suggested that you visit the Cavern in the morning on your own).

Here your guide will explain why the Beatles had such a meteoric rise to fame, as you also learn how Brian Epstein took over their management outside the former site of NEMS (North End Music Stores), where the story or Brian Epstein begins. Mathew Street itself is a Beatles Mecca, with things like "Four Lads who Shook the World" and the Cavern Wall of Fame ("The Wall" of number one hits all of which make for great photo opportunities). Whilst there, your local guide will also help you take photos of you, and your family and friends.

You will then enjoy a walk through a World Heritage Site, taking photos outside Liverpool Town Hall where the Beatles came out on the balcony after their homecoming in 1964. Your guide will talk about this city's many maritime connections, such as its connection to the ill-fated Titanic, and as you pass the Queen Victoria Monument, you will learn about the "Liverpool Blitz in May 1941" which occurred during World War 2.

The Liverpool waterfront will take your breath away as you observe its similarities to the Bund in Shanghai, with its principal buildings called the "Three Graces" Cunard, Liver, and the Port of Liverpool. Here you will have the opportunity to take selfies at the new Beatles Statues in front of the iconic "Liver Birds".

It will then be on to the Museum of Liverpool, where you will be free to spend as long as you wish. There are plenty of other things to do in the area, and your local guide will help you plan the rest of your afternoon depending on your wishes.
